Thyssenkrupp Steel will supply bluemint® recycled steel to BMW Group for the iX3 starting in 2026. This CO₂-reduced steel will be used for outer panels and battery housing, meeting high quality and safety standards without production adaptations.

The material enhances sustainability in the automotive industry by incorporating a high proportion of recycled content and achieving significant CO₂ savings. Thyssenkrupp aims for carbon-neutral steel production by 2045 with a new hydrogen-capable facility.
