Toray Industries, Inc. has made significant advancements in a one-year trial of its all-carbon CO2 and methane separation membrane at a biogas facility in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, achieving a 70% reduction in moisture removal costs compared to traditional systems. This innovative membrane eliminates the need for costly drying steps and can be utilized for natural gas purification and CO2 capture from industrial emissions. The technology is set to be showcased at Nano Tech 2026 in Tokyo.
