Toyoda Gosei Co., a member of the Toyota Motor group, plans to launch clean energy greenhouses for year-round strawberry cultivation by fiscal 2026, utilizing solar-powered systems to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative aims to stabilize growers' revenue, especially during summer harvest declines, and will include the provision of cultivation techniques to interested companies. The company is currently gathering feedback from trial sales at its Inabe Plant, which already produces strawberries using renewable energy.
