UAE and Saudi Arabia Lead MENA's Renewable Energy Growth with 15 GW in 2025

In 2025, the MENA region added nearly 15 GW of solar and wind capacity, reflecting significant growth from previous years and bringing the total project pipeline to 202 GW. The UAE plans to triple its renewable energy capacity to over 22 GW by 2030, while Saudi Arabia has achieved record low costs for solar and wind energy. Other countries in the region, such as Iraq, are also making strides, with Iraq targeting 12 GW by 2030.
