The UK's National Wealth Fund plans to invest £4-5 billion annually in carbon capture, battery manufacturing, and clean energy projects over the next five years, aiming to create 200,000 jobs. Established in 2024 to support the transition to net zero, the fund has approximately £28 billion available, with 30% already allocated to 70 projects, including significant investments in nuclear power and power grid upgrades.
