UKZN and WRC Launch Partnership for Water-Efficient Sanitation Solutions in South Africa

CIRCULAR ECONOMY & RECYCLING

The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and the Water Research Commission (WRC) have initiated a five-year partnership to develop water-efficient and non-sewered sanitation solutions in South Africa, supported by a R15 million investment. This collaboration aims to translate research into practical applications that enhance water security and sanitation, while promoting circular economy approaches and educational programs. A joint steering committee will oversee the initiative, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6.
