SEMICONDUCTOR
UNISERS, a Zurich-based microchip toolmaker, has successfully shipped its first fully automated fab tool to a U.S. semiconductor manufacturer, addressing contamination issues that cost the industry $50 billion annually. Utilizing proprietary technologies for real-time contamination detection, UNISERS plans to build a second system for the same customer by Q1 2026 and is in discussions with additional fabs in the U.S., South Korea, and Taiwan. The company has secured significant funding and aims to expand its customer deployments throughout 2026.
