UNISERS, a Zurich-based microchip toolmaker, has successfully shipped its first fully automated fab tool to a U.S. semiconductor manufacturer, addressing contamination issues that cost the industry $50 billion annually. Utilizing proprietary technologies for real-time contamination detection, UNISERS plans to build a second system for the same customer by Q1 2026 and is in discussions with additional fabs in the U.S., South Korea, and Taiwan.
