United Utilities has initiated a £525m investment program for wastewater asset modernization in Salford over five years. Key projects include a £225m upgrade at Salford wastewater treatment works and a £302m investment at Eccles wastewater treatment works, aimed at enhancing environmental performance and reducing storm overflows. The program is part of the £13bn Big North West Upgrade initiative.
