University of Twente Leads €8M Sodium-Ion Battery Research Consortium in Netherlands

The University of Twente is leading the NANEXBAT consortium, which has secured €8 million from the Dutch Research Council for a five-year project focused on sodium-ion battery research. This initiative aims to innovate materials for enhanced battery performance in heavy-duty mobility and stationary energy storage, involving eight industrial partners and five universities under the national Growthfund programme for sustainable battery technologies.
