UPL Corporation has marked a significant achievement in its Carbon Smart Program by securing the first batch of 26,102 verified carbon credits for pilot farmers, certified by Verra. This initiative encourages regenerative farming practices that enhance soil health and reduce emissions.

With the majority of revenue from credit sales directed to farmers, the program demonstrates that sustainable agriculture can yield both financial and environmental benefits. UPL plans to expand the initiative beyond its pilot phase, aiming to contribute to its goal of removing one billion tonnes of CO2 by 2040.
