US Accuses Russia of Dangerous Maneuvers Against American Satellites
SPACE ECONOMY
The United States has raised alarms over increased space threats, accusing Russia and China of developing capabilities that could damage American satellites. This warning follows an incident where Russian satellite Cosmos 2558 maneuvered near US satellite USA 326, launching a smaller module into orbit.
US officials believe this module could be a 'Kinetic Kill' tool capable of approaching and potentially damaging other satellites. The threat extends beyond Russia and China, with Iran and North Korea also developing capabilities that may jeopardize space infrastructure.
