The US Defense Innovation Unit has approved the hydrogen-powered Z1 drone for rapid procurement, enhancing US aerial operations amid competition with rivals like Russia. Developed by Israeli startup Heven AeroTech, the Z1 features a 10-hour endurance per fuel cell, vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, and quick deployment.
