US Plans Lunar Rover Missions with Astrobotic and Astrolab for NASA's Artemis Program

The US is planning to reintroduce lunar rover missions with the FLIP rover, developed by Astrobotic and Astrolab, set for launch as early as July as part of NASA's Artemis program. This golf-cart-sized rover will explore the Nobile Crater near the moon's south pole, featuring advanced navigation capabilities. Additionally, a larger crew-capable rover, FLEX, is in development for a 2028 launch, aimed at supporting astronaut transportation on the lunar surface.
