Utility Global and Kyocera Partner to Scale H2Gen Manufacturing for Industrial Decarbonization
Utility Global has announced a partnership with Kyocera International to enhance the manufacturing of electrochemical cells for H2Gen systems. This collaboration aims to support industrial decarbonization in sectors such as steel, refining, petrochemicals, and chemicals.
The initial production hub will be established at Kyocera's facility in Hendersonville, North Carolina, with operations starting in 2026. The partnership will leverage Kyocera's advanced materials capabilities and global manufacturing presence to increase production capacity and efficiency.
Utility's H2Gen technology utilizes off-gases from industrial processes to produce clean hydrogen without electricity, significantly reducing production costs. This strategy aligns with global trends in decarbonizing heavy industries and aims to meet the rising demand for clean hydrogen solutions.
