Additionally, VRFBs have been adapted for Capacitive Deionization (CDI) systems, demonstrating 45%-50% efficiency in NaCl removal from brackish water and lower energy consumption compared to traditional methods. This versatility highlights their potential in addressing various wastewater treatment challenges.
