Venezia is set to launch 90 hydrogen buses by 2026, including 75 standard and 15 articulated models, as part of a plan to achieve over 50% zero-emission public transport. This initiative, supported by a €58 million investment from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, also includes 33 electric buses and a new green hydrogen production facility expected to supply 1,700 kilograms of hydrogen daily. The first four hydrogen buses began testing in September 2023, with the aim of positioning Venezia as a leader in hydrogen transport in Italy.
