Walmart is set to anchor a new $300 million retail development, Destination at Gateway, in Mesa, with a 175,000-square-foot store scheduled to open in fall 2026. The project, developed by Diversified Partners on a 40-acre site, will also feature a fuel station and is part of a larger 165-acre development. Construction is expected to continue through mid-2027, following the Mesa City Council's approval to rezone 62 acres for commercial use.
