Warwickshire Wildlife Trust Distributes Free Trees to Farmers in Stratford District
CARBON CAPTURE
The Free Trees for Farmers Scheme distributes tree packs to landowners in Stratford district to enhance biodiversity and climate adaptation. Funded by Stratford District Council with £35,000, the initiative aims to improve habitats through planting hedge, woodland, and fruit trees.
This is part of a £55,000 package for nature recovery, which includes the Wilder Communities Project. Earlier rounds saw 8,000 trees distributed to 38 farmers and 13,000 trees in the second round.
