The Water Services Corporation has signed a €33.15 million contract for the upgrade of the Iċ-Ċumnija Wastewater Treatment Plant in Malta. The project, part of a €377 million National Investment Plan, aims to enhance wastewater treatment in the northern region, with advanced odour control and sound mitigation systems. Construction is set to begin soon, following the design phase, and will increase the production of reclaimed water for agricultural use while reducing reliance on groundwater resources.
