Watt Connect, a Paris-based company, plans to install 250 kW and 2.5 MW battery storage systems in public spaces throughout La Ciotat to store surplus electricity for peak consumption. Following a call for expressions of interest, the municipal council approved the project, which will see installations at 12 locations, including the Théâtre de la Chaudronnerie and the municipal swimming pool.
