WBGEDCL has launched four e-tenders for grid-tied rooftop solar plants with battery storage in West Bengal, under the RIDF-XXXI initiative. The projects include a 1 MWp solar plant with a 2 MWh battery at Haringhata Layer Farm, two 1 MWp plants with 1.8 MWh batteries at Malda and Mekhliganj Layer Farms, and a 0.5 MWp plant with a 0.7 MWh battery at Saltora Layer Farm. Bid submission opens on February 12, 2026, and closes on February 27, 2026.
