Wien Energie Expands Renewable Energy Capacity with New Projects and Acquisitions

Wien Energie is significantly expanding its renewable energy capacity by adding 70 new photovoltaic systems, a hydroelectric power plant, and enhancing wind power output, following its acquisition of ImWind. This move has increased their power output to 900 megawatts, sufficient for over 950,000 households, with plans to reach 2,800 megawatts by 2040. The company aims to supply the entire Viennese transport sector with green electricity by 2030, targeting 1,800 megawatts of renewable capacity in collaboration with ImWind.
