ENERGY STORAGE

Winda Energy Oy, in collaboration with Czech company Second Foundation, will construct a 50 MW electricity storage facility in Jämsä, Finland, with a capacity of 100 MWh. This project, set to begin in early 2026, aims to enhance the country's clean energy transition by efficiently balancing electricity supply and demand, following the exit of BHM Renewables from the initiative. The facility will be one of the largest in Finland, capable of responding to grid frequency fluctuations within milliseconds and storing renewable energy during peak demand.
