A WWII-era practice bomb was safely removed by military personnel from a construction site near Freedom 7 Elementary School in Cocoa Beach. Discovered by a construction crew, the device was identified as a non-explosive ordnance equipped with a smoke charge. The 45th Explosive Ordnance Disposal team transported it for disposal at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, following initial identification by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.
