Wärtsilä to Divest Gas Solutions Business to Mutares SE & Co. KGaA

Wärtsilä has announced the sale of its Gas Solutions business to German private equity firm Mutares SE & Co. KGaA as part of its ongoing portfolio restructuring strategy. The division, which generated €300 million in revenue in 2024 and focuses on gas handling and biogas applications, will operate independently post-transaction, expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approvals.
