First Nations and conservationists express concerns about the project's environmental impact and its potential to accelerate mining developments, with 19 identified mining projects as beneficiaries. Currently in the pre-feasibility phase, the initiative is funded by the Yukon Development Corporation and Canada's Critical Mineral Infrastructure Fund.
