Zaya Younan has unveiled a significant solar and battery storage project in East Kern County, California, through Soleil Renewable Energy, LLC. Spanning approximately 3,200 acres, the facility aims to generate 880 MWdc of solar power and a 460 MW battery storage system, producing 1,900-2,000 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually, with commercial operations expected to commence by mid-2028.
