The 111th Division Reconnaissance Company (111DRC) has completed its mission in Basilan after more than two years of supporting security operations and peace-building efforts. Lieutenant Colonel Abel Potutan of the 1101st Infantry Brigade (1101Bde) expressed appreciation and support for the 111DRC during a send-off ceremony on December 16, 2025, at Lamitan City port.

The ceremony highlighted the Brigade's commitment to continuous capability development and the significance of well-trained personnel for peace and security. Following their tour of duty, the 111DRC will undergo retraining to enhance operational readiness and tactical proficiency before their next deployment. The send-off was attended by other military officials based in Basilan.
