550-ton Bridge Crane Operational at Caculo Cabaça Hydropower Station in Angola

The Caculo Cabaça Hydropower Station in Angola has commenced operations with a newly installed 550-ton bridge crane, marking it as the largest energy initiative by a Chinese company in the country. This facility, located 270 kilometers from Luanda, is part of a series of eight planned hydropower stations on the Kwanza River, with a total capacity of 2,172 megawatts and an expected annual output of 8,566 gigawatt-hours, aiming to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
