6K Additive Raises A$48 Million in IPO on ASX to Expand Metal Powder Production Capacity
6K Additive has completed an IPO on the Australian Securities Exchange, raising A$48 million through CHESS Depositary Interests priced at A$1.00 each, achieving an initial market capitalization of approximately A$267 million. The proceeds will support an expansion program to increase production capacity from about 200 to 1,000 metric tons annually, supplying metal powders to aerospace, defense, space, medical, energy, and automotive markets.
This expansion is already underway at the company’s headquarters in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, with plans to add new UniMelt plasma systems and facilities for feedstock preparation and ingot melting. Additionally, 6K Additive has secured a US$27.4 million loan from the Export-Import Bank of the United States, complementing a US$23.4 million grant from the US Department of Defense. The company reports a US$240 million sales pipeline as of November 2025, reflecting a US$10 million increase over two months.
