ABB has entered into an agreement with Fervo Energy to provide motor control solutions for the Cape Station geothermal project in Southwest Utah, anticipated to be the world's largest geothermal development. The project aims to deliver carbon-free power to the grid by late 2026, with an initial capacity of 100 MW and plans to expand to 400 MW. ABB's contribution includes a range of equipment such as medium voltage motors, drives, and prefabricated eHouses for infrastructure support.
