ACCIONA Energía and PowerChina Sign Contracts for 180 MW Solar Project in Cebu

ACCIONA Energía has signed engineering procurement and construction contracts with Power Construction Corporation of China for a 180-megawatt peak solar project in Daanbantayan, Cebu, valued at P7 billion. This facility is a public-private partnership with the Cebu provincial government and is scheduled for completion by December 2026 to comply with the Green Energy Auction Program -4 award.

The project has a 20-year supply contract under this government initiative. This collaboration marks the beginning of a strategic alliance between ACCIONA and PowerChina, which is recognized for its leadership in hydropower and renewable energy infrastructure.

ACCIONA Energía also secured a contract for a 101-megawatt wind farm in Laguna, contributing to the Philippines' renewable energy capacity goals. The company manages over 2 gigawatts in development within the country since its establishment in 2016.
