ACCIONA Energía has launched its Logrosán biomass power plant in Cáceres, Spain, with a capacity of 50 MWe, expected to generate 380 GWh of renewable energy annually. The facility will utilize approximately 275,000 tonnes of biomass each year, primarily from forestry waste, while supporting local employment and economic development through job creation and community initiatives. The project was developed under a contract with the Ministry for Ecological Transition, ensuring a stable electricity sale price for 20 years.
