Advancements in nanotechnology are propelling the development of thin-film solar cells by companies such as Nanosolar, Global Photonic Energy, and Bloo Solar, which are exploring various nanomaterials for applications ranging from rooftops to mobile devices. Notable innovations include Nanosolar's 17.1% efficiency cells on aluminum foil, Bloo Solar's material-efficient Solar Brush design, and EnSol's transparent solar film, all aimed at creating flexible and cost-effective solar solutions.
