AIM Secures $4.9M Air Force Contract for Autonomous Construction Technology

AIM Intelligent Machines has secured a $4.9 million contract with the U.S. Air Force to develop autonomous construction technology for military bases and airfields. The technology, which allows bulldozers and excavators to operate independently and includes 3D mapping for damage assessment, aims to expedite construction processes while reducing risks to personnel. CEO Adam Sadilek highlighted that automation can enhance construction capacity without displacing workers.
