Air Marshal Inderpal Singh Walia Appointed Chief of IAF's Eastern Air Command

Air Marshal Inderpal Singh Walia has been appointed as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Air Force's Eastern Air Command, effective February 1. A National Defence Academy alumnus with over 3,200 hours of flying experience on various aircraft, he succeeds Air Marshal Surat Singh, who retired after 39 years of service. Walia brings extensive command experience, having previously served as the Senior Air Staff Officer at the Eastern Air Command.
