Airbus A400M Atlas Prepared for Sale to Saudi Arabia with Increased Payload Capacity

Airbus Defence & Space is poised to sell its A400M Atlas to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), emphasizing the aircraft's enhanced capabilities. The A400M's maximum payload will increase from 37 tons to 40 tons, enabling it to transport heavier equipment, including tanks and the Patriot air-defense system.
A memorandum of understanding was signed with Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) to enhance local production capabilities. The A400M has logged over 250,000 flight hours and is in operational use by 10 nations.
