Akwa Ibom State Purchases 50 CNG Buses to Enhance Urban Transport

The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the acquisition of 50 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses, funded by the Central Bank of Nigeria, to enhance urban transportation. Set to arrive in April, this initiative aims to improve the state's mass transit system, create around 500 jobs, and connect all 31 Local Government Areas to the capital. Additionally, the project will include the establishment of gas stations, training schools for technicians, and infrastructure developments such as a marine terminal in Oron.
