Alaska Aerospace to Enhance Pacific Spaceport Complex with $45.5M Federal Funding

Sen. Lisa Murkowski announced up to $45.5 million from the Defense Department Appropriation Bill for upgrades at the Pacific Spaceport Complex-Alaska. Alaska Aerospace Corporation, in partnership with Virginia Spaceport Authority, will receive funding for a payload processing facility and other upgrades, enhancing launch capabilities for government and private contractors.
Additionally, $4 million is allocated for Poker Flat Research Range upgrades, and $6 million for JPARC investments. Alaska Aerospace also secured a $28 million contract for missile system operations.
