Alpha Design Technologies Ltd has successfully completed a major upgrade of the Indian Air Force's Pechora surface-to-air missile system, enhancing its capabilities as part of India's military modernization efforts. This fully digitized upgrade, crucial to the Sudarshan Chakra project, aims to extend the system's service life and combat effectiveness, with user trials confirming its operational readiness. The initiative marks ADTL as the first Indian company to modernize a Russian-origin missile system, following a Rs 591.3 crore contract signed in September 2020.
