The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the 950 MW Kamalapadu Pumped Storage Hydro Electric Project in Anantapur district, with an estimated cost of Rs 7,376.74 crore. This project, which features three units of 238 MW and two units of 118 MW, will enhance grid flexibility and support renewable energy integration, allowing APGenco to proceed with tendering and construction without needing separate approval from the Central Electricity Authority.
