The Argentine Navy will acquire four AW109M helicopters for €71.7 million under presidential decree 924/2025, financing the purchase through Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank. The helicopters, intended for deployment from four OPV 87 offshore patrol vessels, will enhance the Navy's capabilities in maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations. The contract with Leonardo Helicopters will be finalized following a letter of intent signed in autumn 2023.
