Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission Approves Gazprom Armenia's 2026-2030 Investment Plan
The Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia has approved Gazprom Armenia CJSC's investment program totaling approximately 150.35 billion drams for 2026 to 2030. The plan includes significant investments in the expansion of the Abovyan underground gas storage facility (20.36 billion drams), gas transmission network improvements (50.36 billion drams), additional gas transmission system work (over 7.5 billion drams), new subscriber connections (nearly 4.8 billion drams), and gas distribution network enhancements (around 59.4 billion drams).
The program also allocates 3.56 billion drams for new capacity in the Yerevan gas supply system. Gazprom Armenia, a subsidiary of Gazprom, supplies natural gas from Russia to Armenia, with transportation through Georgia at a border price of $165 per 1,000 cubic meters.
