The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has canceled $1.7 million in contracts with Nonprofit Empowerment Group, co-founded by Tariq H. Cheema, linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.

The company, which falsely presented itself as a nonprofit, received contracts for leadership training services reserved for women-owned businesses. The Army stated that these contracts did not serve national interests and undermined mission cohesion.
