Asterion Industrial Partners has invested €1.5 billion in its biomethane platform, ABIO, to become a leading player in Europe's renewable gas sector. This investment, which includes €800 million in equity, will support the development of biomethane assets across various European markets, with plans to expand from six operational plants to 20 by 2026 and 40 by 2030, producing up to 3.5 TWh annually. The initiative aims to enhance energy security and facilitate the energy transition while addressing agricultural waste management.
