Atiaia Renováveis Expands I-REC and REC Brazil Certifications to Eight Hydropower Plants in Brazil

HYDRO POWER

Atiaia Renováveis has expanded its I-REC and REC Brazil sustainability certifications to eight operational plants in 2025, including the newly certified Buriti (MS), Canoa Quebrada (MT), and Foz do Cedro (MT) hydropower plants. This move reinforces the company's leadership in clean energy generation in Brazil and aligns with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the 2030 Agenda.

The new certifications bring the total certified plants to 80% of Atiaia's operations, totaling approximately 211 MW of installed capacity and 1.1 million MWh of annual generation. The initiative is supported by ABEEólica, Abragel, CCEE, Abraceel, and ABIogás.
