Atmos Energy to Begin Utility Work with Lane Closures on 3rd Street in Paducah Starting Dec. 16

NATURAL GAS

Atmos Energy will initiate daytime lane closures on 3rd Street in downtown Paducah beginning Tuesday, Dec. 16, for utility work. Crews will operate between Washington and Monroe streets, specifically between mile points 1.9 and 2.34.

The project involves boring two natural gas mains perpendicular to the road. The first phase will focus on accessing sewer manholes and conducting camera work, which will require traffic to shift into the left lane in the work zone.

Concurrently, Route 114 in Stoddard County will experience reductions as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform ditch repairs from McCormick Street to County Road 725 near Dexter, Missouri. Work is scheduled from Dec. 16 to Dec. 19, daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., subject to weather conditions. The work zones will be marked with signs, and motorists are advised to exercise caution in these areas.
