Bangladesh is launching a project aimed at reducing methane emissions in the agriculture and livestock sectors, as announced by Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter. The initiative, supported by the Climate Trust Fund, focuses on the '4F Model' to produce animal feed, biogas, and biofertilizer from grass, benefiting smallholder farmers while addressing environmental concerns. Akhter also stressed the need for policy changes in the livestock sector to mitigate risks associated with meat imports.
