BC Budget Allocates Funds for Mental Health and Crime Reduction in Prince George

The BC government's new budget includes $131 million for mental health and addictions services in Prince George, aimed at supporting individuals with complex mental illness and substance-use challenges. Additionally, $139 million is allocated over three years for justice and crime-reduction programs, including $16 million for the Chronic Property Offending Intervention Initiative. The province projects $1.93 billion in natural resource revenues for 2026-27, primarily from natural gas royalties.
