British Columbia's Energy Minister Adrian Dix announced an agreement between BC Hydro and the Nisga'a First Nation to construct the North Coast Transmission Line, which will provide up to 600 megawatts to the Ksi Lisims LNG project. The project, located in Nisga'a Treaty territory, aims for a capacity of 12 million tonnes per year and is set to begin construction this summer, with full electrification expected by 2032. While it has received environmental approvals, a final investment decision is still pending.
